En las esquinas de un sol apagado
Yo yacía en llanto de pecado
Solo
Las aves se tornaban murciélagos,
su cantar una sinfonía funeral.
Mis lágrimas, hermanas de la lluvia,
su caída, el umbral de mi agonía.
Las estrellas susurraban caricias lejanas,
la luna me abrigaba con su tenue fulgor.
El amor seguía perdido sin arena en su reloj,
y las cenizas del silencio se esparcían con dolor.
En las esquinas de un aposento sin tono
Yo yacía sin encontrar mi amor

Before Love
In the corners of a dull sun
I lay in tears of sin
Alone
Birds became bats,
his singing a funeral symphony.
My tears, sisters of the rain,
his fall, the threshold of my agony.
The stars whispered distant caresses,
the moon covered me with its faint glow.
Love was still lost without sand on his watch,
and the ashes of silence spread with pain.
In the corners of a room without tone
I lay without finding my love
